Gokce CAKIR ERCAN has been working as an expert at energy sector after graduating from Ankara University-Faculty of Political Science.
While continuing her work, she also completed her education and graduated from Anadolu University-Photography and Camera Operation department. In accordance with her education, she focused working on fine art photography.
As a new way of seeing the world, creating timeless conceptual images, and mostly using self-portraits to create these images are her prominent features. While creating her images, she utilizes composite bonding techniques at the highest level through image processing software on the photographs she takes. Each work she creates is the result of days of work.
Her images contain an idea or emotion beyond being visible and this may create a positive or negative feedback on the audience. Her purpose is not always to show good and beautiful. The feedback of audience is related to how the conveyed message is blended in the audience’s inner world. To reveal this relationship is the main goal of her art.
In 2020, she had participated “WPE Awards International Photography-2020 Final Competition” which was organized by Professional Photographers Europe Community in Paris together with 6550 photographers from 158 countries. She took 3rd place in Photo Manipulation Category and won silver medal.
Again in 2020, she participated “35 Awards-International Photo Competition” which in different categories 444,000 photos (20.065 conceptual photo) of 123.418 photographers took place. She got the certificate with the degree of “Top 50 Conceptual Photo Photographer” and “Top 150 Conceptual Photo” in world rankings and “Top 35 Turkey Photographers” and “Top 10 Ankara Photographers” in Turkey rankings.

Gökçe ÇAKIR ERCAN, Ankara Üniversitesi Siyasal Bilgiler Fakültesinden mezundur ve halen enerji sektöründe uzman olarak görevini sürdürmektedir.
Uzmanlık görevini sürdürürken bir yandan da Anadolu Üniversitesi Fotoğrafçılık ve Kameramanlık bölümünde eğitimini tamamlamıştır. Aldığı eğitim doğrultusunda çalışmalarını sanat fotoğrafçılığı üzerine yoğunlaştırmıştır.
Dünyayı görmenin yeni bir yolu olarak zamansız kavramsal imgeler yaratmak, bu imgeleri yaratırken çoğunlukla otoportre kullanmak öne çıkan özellikleridir. İmgelerini yaratırken kendi çektiği fotoğraflar üzerinde görüntü işleme yazılımları aracılığıyla kompozit birleştirme tekniklerinden üst seviyede yararlanmaktadır. Yarattığı her bir eser, günlerce süren çalışmanın sonucunda ortaya çıkmaktadır.
İmgeleri görünenin ötesinde bir fikir veya duygu içermektedir ve bu durum izleyicide olumlu veya olumsuz bir geribildirim oluşturabilir. Amacı her zaman iyiyi ve güzeli göstermek değildir. İzleyicinin geri bildiriminin şekli, iletilen mesajın izleyicinin kendi iç dünyasında ne şekilde harmanlandığı ile ilişkilidir. Bu ilişkiyi ortaya çıkarmak sanatının başlıca hedefidir.
2020 yılında 158 ülkeden 6.550 fotoğrafçının katılımıyla Paris’te gerçekleşen Profesyonel Fotoğrafçılar Avrupa Topluluğu’nun “WPE Awards International Photography-2020 Yılı Final Yarışması”nda Foto Manipülasyon kategorisinde rakiplerini geride bırakarak 3 üncü olmuş gümüş madalya kazanmıştır.
Yine 2020 yılında 123.418 fotoğrafçıya ait 444.000 fotoğrafın (20.065 kavramsal fotoğraf) katılımıyla birçok kategoride gerçekleşen “35Awards-Uluslararası Fotoğraf Yarışması”nda derece alarak dünya sıralamasında “İlk 50 Kavramsal Fotoğraf Fotoğrafçısı”ve “İlk 150 Kavramsal Fotoğraf”, Türkiye ayağında ise sıralamada “İlk 35 Türkiye Fotoğrafçısı” ve “İlk 10 Ankara Fotoğrafçısı” arasına girmeyi başarmıştır.
